Australia Still Strong But Decline Lies Ahead
Are the Aussies just off the boil or is it an ageing side coming back to the pack? The latter I’m afraid, and mores the pity for cricket as they have set the benchmark for so long.

Australia Look Vulnerable
There is certainly some feeling creeping into the South Africa v Australia series. It all started in Australia where it is believed that some ex pat South Africans used Afrikaans (a language used only in SA) to abuse some of the South African players. Personally I think the abuse was wrong but reacting fuels the situation and anonymity in a big crowd along with alcohol leads to more of the same.

VB Series Starts World Cup Countdown
Why would you be a bowler? The VB Series in Australia is likely to be another run feast and a sign of things to come at the World Cup. One aspect that has troubled me, and no doubt a few bowlers, is how small the grounds are becoming. Cricket must be the only sport where the playing arena has got smaller over time and boy has it cost the bowlers.
