magazines, brochures, websites, while we ghost-write autobiographies and other books. Big Star
Creations is also an in-house publisher of its own book projects and ventures.
Big Star Creations' Richard Sydenham has been a sports journalist since 1994, writing for
world-renowned and respected media organisations as Reuters, The Associated Press (AP),
Cricinfo, Bloomberg, The Sunday Telegraph, Daily Star Sunday, The Sunday Express, Mid-
day of Mumbai and Gulf News of Dubai, while his writing has also appeared in The Sydney
Morning Herald, The Guardian, The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune.
While representing global news agency Reuters in 2007, he led the world in the coverage
of Pakistan's exit from the World Cup and the subsequent tragic death and investigation of
their coach Bob Woolmer. Richard was also central to the reporting of the spot-fixing scandal
in 2010, while reporting for the AP, and then throughout the trial of those involved, for
Cricinfo. Richard also writes football reports and features, and continues to blend his media
services with his expertise as a Registered Agent and other business interests.
Richard has authored three books to date: In the Line of Fire – The Great Opening Batsmen
of Test Cricket; Inside Out – an autobiography of former Pakistan captain and coach Mushtaq
Mohammed; and In a League of Their Own – 100 Cricket Greats Select Their World XI.
